To remove the pom pom just flip the hat inside out and turn the pom pom saver on its side and remove the elastic loop. To reattach the pom pom, you could use a bobby pin to grab the elastic and pull through the top of the hat and then insert the pom pom saver and the elastic will fit in the notched out spots.
